The beginning

Trying to keep pace with all of the technology and instructional tools available to educators is a seemingly overwhelming task. The focus does not need to be on all that is available, but rather what I want to use to accomplish a desired instruction/educational outcome. With a purpose for seeking out different apps or Web 2.0 tools, I have narrowed down the options of what it is I need to or want to learn to do and now life seems more manageable. 

This blog is just that.

I knew I wanted to share with the wonderful teacher at my school some awesome technology tools that I have found other teachers using and include how and why they are using them.  But I also wanted other teachers to be able to see what wonderful things our teachers are doing with technology and with other great instructional strategies in their classrooms. 

So this blog will always be about what teachers are teaching me, Tasia. It is about how teachers give meaning and purpose to technology to improve their instruction and increase student learning.
